Role Description: Booster Club Treasurer

Position Overview:

The Nicolet Booster Club Treasurer is a crucial role within the booster club, responsible for managing the club's financial operations on a volunteer basis. The Treasurer will handle financial transactions, maintain records, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:

    • Maintain a monthly report of transactions and classifications of income and expenses, integrating these into existing Excel reports.

    • Update QuickBooks for backup transaction tracking.

  • Transaction Handling:

    • Write checks to the athletic department and programs as approved by the board.

    • Handle cash deposits or withdrawals for events or concessions start-up cash, approximately three times per year.

  • Compliance:

    • File annual taxes for the non-profit organization.

  • Meetings and Reporting:

    • Attend monthly meetings to provide financial updates and collaborate with other club officers.

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Basic proficiency in financial management software, particularly Excel and QuickBooks.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team.

  • Previous experience in financial management or bookkeeping is preferred but not required.

 

Commitment:

This is a volunteer position requiring approximately 1-2 hours per month, including attendance at monthly meetings.
